DAMN this movie was good. no kidding, while i was watching it, i’m pretty sure i told the same person how good it was four or five separate times.

the storyline was extremely intriguing and i thought that giving the main character agoraphobia was a really unique challenge with the circumstance, and it was honestly perfect for the plot. i’ve seen a good amount of crime/drama thrillers, and you often find that a lot of them have very similar plot structures and twists, but the woman in the window was unlike any other movie i’ve seen.

all the characters were written exceptionally well, especially anna. amy adams did an amazing job, as per usual. she perfectly filled the character of anna, especially during the moments where she was clearly having a mental breakdown and struggling to form her thoughts. everyone’s acting was on point (such an amazing cast, by the way).

the visuals of this movie was really really beautiful, and i really felt like we were watching the movie through anna’s eyes, her hallucinations shown to the viewers in these amazing set pieces like the overturned car. another part of the visuals that i really loved was the way that the television was shown when anna was on her meds. it seemed like it was hovering over her and giving us an outside view of her declining mental state.

i would highly recommend this movie to everyone, but especially to thriller lovers and people that love movies that kind of f*ck with you psychologically. the woman in the window is out on netflix today!! go watch it go watch it go watch it!!

my favorite character:

  • Amy Adams as Anna Fox - where is her oscar?? amy adams is one of the most underrated actresses i’ve ever seen, and her performance as anna fox only cements this. adams’s performance during her hallucinations had me second guessing what i was seeing. an icon, a legend, and the moment. hollywood appreciate her more please

this movie is rated R. here’s why:

  • Violence

  • Language

  • Drug and Alcohol Use

something i liked: LMFAO this is completely unrelated to the movie but i love how ⅔ of the captain america’s were in this movie. i spent ¾ of the movie trying to remember where i had seen david before and then realized that he was john walker from TWATWS. gotta love the star spangled man with a plan
