I love how chaotic this show is. It’s such an easy watch because no two episodes are the same, creating something that never seems to get boring. This is the perfect watch if you’ve got a short attention span as there isn’t really a big plot line to follow. One of the most intriguing parts of the show is how in each new episode it seems that the events of the prior episode never even happened in the first place; it seems to almost reset the universe with every new adventure. The rude humor and gore might turn some people off to it, but within the sex jokes and blood spatters, there are some really sweet moments where Rick and Morty (and occasionally Summer) exercise their grandpa/grandkid bond. Another fun quality of the series is the way the fourth wall is constantly being broken. The characters, especially Rick, talk to the audience in a subtle way that still manages to be hilarious each time. Every new planet, dimension, or alien that is shown in the series are more wacky and fascinating than the last. And I’m gonna say it, because it’s Rick and Morty: pickle riiiiiiiiiick.

logline: When scientist Rick Sanchez shows up on his daughter’s doorstep, his experiments and portal gun bring potentially extremely dangerous adventures into his grandson Morty’s life.

My Favorite Characters:

  • Justin Roiland as Rick Sanchez - rick always makes you laugh, from his excessive drinking to his completely random catchphrases. His crazy antics aren’t just what drive the plot, but they’re the best part of the show. Even though he is drunk pretty much all the time, he can still be a good grandpa to Morty and Summer, which can make for some nice heartfelt moments. And that’s the waaaayyyy the news goes!

This show is rated TV-14. Here’s why:

  • Sexual Content and Nudity

  • Extreme Violence and Gore

  • Language

  • Alcohol and Drug Use

My favorite episode: so far (i’m only on season 2 - don’t come for me) is total rickall. for people who haven’t seen it, it’s about alien parasites changing the family’s memories in attempt to take over Earth. it’s really funny, and full of a bunch of really random characters, some of which i really wish were reccurring (personal favorite was Ghost in a Jar). SPOILERS AHEAD. alright, someone needs to answer some questions for me. IS MR. POOPYBUTTHEAD A PARASITE? YES OR NO? cause i swear, he was never in the show before, but when beth shot him, it didn’t kill him like the other parasites. this was 100% intentional from the showrunners, and made to confuse people, but i NEED ANSWERS.
