Full of energy on and off-screen, Ncuti is an actor I’m excited to see more of in the future. His character, Eric, on Sex Education is supportive, and sassy, and relatable, and very funny, and Eric steals the show in each scene he’s in. Ncuti gives a performance above and beyond the stereotypical best friend, and as we delve into his personal issues as he deals with his identity, his friendships, and his relationships, we see the wonderfully complex and beautiful character that is Eric Effiong. We are all waiting in anticipation to see Ncuti Gatwa in the next season of Sex Education. In the meantime, we can see him in the upcoming romantic-drama Last Letter from Your Lover, starring Felicity Jones and Shailene Woodley, which was recently acquired by Netflix.
